Rui Thomas Monteiro, conferred degree in Agriculture in 1979 and the Regents Bachelor of Visual Arts , Graphic Design Branch of the School of Applied Arts in Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco in 2004.

A graphic designer by profession, he is currently Senior Technician in the Publishing and Editorial Services in the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco.

He created and was responsible for the Graphic Arts Services and Audiovisual School of Agriculture, later in the Graphic Services Office of IPCB. Mr. Monteiro stands behind the conception of the structure of services, procurement of equipment, training employees, establishing work routines and all tasks that have enabled the proper functioning of these services.

Since 1973 he works in photography, but only from the beginning of the millennium, with the introduction of digital technology, Mr. Monteiro moves on to manipulate digital imaging being the author of illustrations and covers of publications issued by the PICB.

From 2001 exhibits regularly photography and puts images in virtual space.
